1 C. softened butter
1 C. packed light brown sugar
1 C. sugar
2 eggs
1 C. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 C. quick cooking oatmeal
(Use the 3 Minute Brand oatmeal)
1 2/3 C. chocolate chips
1 C. pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter; add sugars, beating til light and smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Add flour, soda and salt to creamed mixture, combining well. Stir in oatmeal, chips and nuts. Drop by large tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets. Bake @ 350 F. for 8-10 minutes or til browned.
These cookies should be about 5" in diameter when baked.
