1-1/2 cups (12 oz. bottle) Log Cabin Syrup
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 unbaked 8-inch pie shell
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Bring syrup to a boil in a 1-12-quart saucepan: boil gently uncovered, for 8 minutes. Cool about 15 minutes. Sprinkle nuts in pie shell. Cream butter; blend in sugar, flour, and salt. Add eggs, syrup, and vanilla: mix well. Pour into shell. Bake at 375 for 40 to 45 minutes, or until pie is completely puffed across top and browned. Cool. Garnish with prepared Cool Whip Whipped Topping, if desired.
