3 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 c. oil
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice
2/3 c. water
2 c. canned pumpkin
3-1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:

Mix first 7 ingredients in large bowl. Add pumpkin, mix well. Add flour and salt, mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees, 30-40 minutes.
