BBQ Sauce Recipe

4 tbsp. shortening oil
1 tsp. liquid smoke
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
2 c. ketchup
2 onions, diced
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp pepper
1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp A-1 Sauce
4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. water
1 c. sweet pickle juice (recipe found below)

Make the sweet pickle juice first as follows:
2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
pickling spice
Bring all juice ingredients to a boil, drain the spice out. This make about 2 c. pickle juice.

Then mix with all other ingredients.
