1/2c. shortening
3/4c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 pt. sour cream
6T. soft butter
1c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1c. chopped nuts

Beat together shortening, sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Set aside.
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Stir flour mixture and sour cream, alternately into the shortening/sugar/egg mixture.
Make topping by combining butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts.
Put half the batter in greased and floured tube pan. Put in half of the topping mixture, then the rest of batter and the rest of topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 10 minutes before taking out of pan.
