3 large egg yolks
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 pound (1 stick) butter, softened
1/2 tsp. salt
dash white pepper
1/3 cup boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients EXCEPT water in blender or food processor until fairly smooth. With motor running, add the boiling water in a steady stream, blend a few second longer. Pour in top of double boiler. Cook over low heat until thickened. May be reheated over hot water. Will not separate.

Mary Grace makes this sauce for the steamed broccoli. Again, this is a tradition for our Thanksgiving table. I remember when (November of 1999) Katie turned 16. Three of her friends from our old Maryland neighborhood flew into Miami and surprised her. When it came to Thanksgiving leftovers, they wanted Aunt Grace's broccoli with that "yummy sauce"!! (This is from the Tidewater cookbook)
