1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa, divided
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
2 T butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 3/4 cup boiling water

Preheat the oven to 350º. Combine flour, white sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Stir in milk, butter, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread in ungreased shallow 1 1/2 qt. casserole. Sprinkle brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa on top. Place in oven; pour boiling water over top. Bake 35 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before serving. Serve with ice cream.
