1 PKG (8 OZ) LASAGNA NOODLES
1 LB GROUND BEEF ( OR TURKEY)
1/2 TBS FAT
1 CAN (1 LB 13 OZ) TOMATOES
1 CUP CREAM-STYLE COTTAGE CHEESE
1 CAN (8 OZ) TOMATO SAUCE
1 ENVELOPE ( 1 1/2 OZ) SPAGHETTI SAUCE MIX
1 CLOVE GARLIC, MINCED
1 PKG (8 OZ) MOZZARELLA CHEESE, THINLY SLICED
1/2 CUP GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE

Cook noodles as directed on package. Drain and rinse with cold water. Brown meat in fat. Combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce mix, and garlic with meat and simmer for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place layer of noodles in a 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Cover with 1/3 of the sauce, then add half of the Mozzarella cheese and half of the cottage cheese. Repeat with layer of noodles, remaining cheeses and 1/3 of the sauce. Finally add another layer of noodles and cover with remaining sauce. Top with Parmesan cheese. Bake in 350-degree oven for 45 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes and cut into squares.
