1/2 cup butter,
1/2 cup shortening,
2 eggs,
1 3/4 cups brown sugar,
2 tsp. vanilla,
2 cups oatmeal,
1 cup flour,
1/2 tsp. baking soda,
1 tsp. salt,
add raisins or choc. chips if desired

Directions:

Soften butter and shortening, add sugar, mix well.
Add eggs and mix, then add oatmeal, flour, baking soda, salt, add choc chips, or raisins, or nuts if desired.Mix on low speed, Don't over mix!! drop by spoonful on to cookie sheet and bake at 350º for approx 8--10 min.
