Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 can condensed milk
1 can whole milk (equal to quantity of condensed milk)
1 can thick cream (equal to quantity of condensed milk)
3 eggs, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients. Pour into ungreased, slightly wet 8 or 9 inch pan. Bake in 350 degree F. oven for about an hour or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool. Refrigerate for two hours before removing from pan. Turn upside down on serving plate. If needed, separate sides with a spatula to help it come out. Pour caramel sauce over top at time at serving.
Caramel sauce:
1 cup refined sugar
1 cup boiling water
Melt sugar in a non-stick pan at medium heat, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon. Be patient; if stove is too hot, the caramel will get a smoky flavor. When sugar starts boiling, begin adding spoonfuls of the boiling water while stirring constantly; until the caramel gets to the consistency you prefer. A thin consistency is
preferred for three milk dessert. Place sauce in a glass jar and let cool before pouring over the dessert.

This is a classic recipe from Colombia and a dessert that we have enjoyed sharing with our Colombian friends, Mauricio and Adriana.
