1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg -- beaten
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 #2 1/2 can fruit cocktail (drained)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix nuts and brown sugar in bowl and set aside. Mix sugar, flour, soda and salt in a mixing bowl. Add beaten egg with a drop or two of water into bowl and mix lightly. Stir in fruit cocktail. Put mixture into a greased square baking pan or cassarole dish. Sprinkle brown sugar/nut mixture on the top. Bake at 350 for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve with a little vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on the top.
