Ingredients:
1/4 c WARM Water
1 pkg yeast
1/4 c Crisco (melted)
1 c milk (pur in melted Crisco)
1 egg (beaten)
1/4 c sugar
1 t salt
3 - 4 c plain flour

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl put WARM water & yeast (Water needs to be WARM. If its too hot it "kills" the yeast, too cold does not activate yeast. Not as scarry as seems, just run warm water from tap.) Melt Crisco in microwave, add milk, pour in bowl with yeast mix. Add beaten egg, salt & sugar. Mix in flour 1 cup at a time (I use mixer with bread attachments for mixing) unitl doughy. Cover bowl with cloth and put in non-drafty place to let rise until about twice size (approx. 1 1/2 hr) Beat down & roll out on floured rag. Cut out rolls and place on greased pan and let rise another hour or so. Bake 15 - 20 min @ 400º.

Personal Notes:
You can also make Cinnamon Rolls w/this recipe. When you roll out rolls smear dough w/soft butter & sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough up, & slice about 1" thick. Put on greased pan and let rise as above. After baking frost with powdered sugar and milk frosting. (3/4 - 1 box powdered sugar mixed w/approx 2 - 4 T you'll know how much milk & 1/2 t vanilla).
