2 lbs. hamburger, browned and drained
2 medium onions, peeled and chopped
2 medium green bell peppers, chopped
Garlic powder
Italian seasoning
Oregano
Salt and pepper
Chili powder
1 large can of stewed tomatoes, undrained. Or can use fresh tomatoes
1 can of tomato soup
3 T. white vinegar
Sugar (intensifies the tomato flavor)
1 can light red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can chili beans, undrained

Brown the hamburger, onions, green peppers, and first six seasonings (amounts will depend on your own tastes) in a skillet and drain. Then put all these ingredients in a Dutch oven. Add the tomatoes, soup, vinegar and sugar. Simmer for 30-45 minutes and add more spices to taste. Stir in beans last and simmer for at least another hour, stirring occasionally or place in a crock pot on low heat.
