Cook rice as you would normally (2 to 1) except use the soup instead of water. I do it in the mircrowave. Put 2 cans of consomme in covered bowl, 1can rice, 1 tbls butter. Do not add salt! Microwave on high about 5 minutes, then stir and reduce to 50% power and cook about 10 minutes, depending on oven. I leave in microwave and reheat at 10% power until I am ready to serve

This one came from my mom. She used to bake it in the oven I think. If you want, you can use can of consomme and some dry french onion soup mix (I usually use about half an envelope) and a little water for added flavor. Still following the 2 liquids to 1 rice rule.
