1 ¼ cup Cornmeal
1 cup flour
1 1/4 cup water
1 tsp. salt
½ cup butter or margarine, softened
Cheese, cut into oblong cubes

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl add the cornmeal, flour, salt and water; mix well. Set aside, meanwhile, slice the cheese into oblong cubes. Use a spoon and place 2 tablespoons of the mixture into the palm of one hand, and flatten the mixture with your other hand making a circle. Add a cube of cheese in the center of the mix. Enclose the cheese with the mix, sealing securely. Repeat until you have used up the mixture. Fry several sorullos at a time in hot vegetable oil until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot.
