Ingredients: 2 cans minced clams, with juice 1 tsp. lemon juice 1/4 lb. margarine 1 medium onion, chopped 1 medium clove of garlic. chopped 1/2 of green pepper, diced 1 tsp. parsley flakes 1 tsp. dried oregano 1 tsp. tobasco sauce 1/2 c. Italian-style bread crumbs

Directions:Simmer clams, with juice, and lemon juice together for 15 minutes. Add all the rest of ingredients into the saucepan and simmer until soft. Then add the bread crumbs. Put mixture into small baking dish. Top with American cheese slices and sprinkle with parmesan cheese and paprika. Bake at 400 º for about 15-20 minutes, until hot and bubbly. Serve with corn chips, totilla chips, or crackers. |

Notes: I have made this recipe for years and have found that men especially like it. I think it is best with Fritos. It can be made as long as a month ahead and frozen befoe the baking point. Then just thaw and bake.
