"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous
1 pkg. Lime Jello 1 c. liquid (pineapple juice & water) 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained 1/2 cup mayonnaise -- or less 1/2 cup cottage cheese 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1/2 cup chopped nuts (if desired)
Heat liquid and dissolve jello into it. Cool then whip. Fold in remaining ingredients and chill.
Grandma Jennie Groberg's specialty -- a regular for Sunday Dinner. She always added lots of nuts, but we usually liked it better without the nuts.
