1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup sorghum
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
pinch salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Beat shortening, brown sugar, eggs, and sorghum. Add flour, baking soda, salt, ginger and cinnamon. Add 1/2 cup boiling water. Bake in oven at 375 F.
