1 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, well beaten
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
1 pkg. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the shortening, sugars and vanilla. Fold in the egg. Add flour, soda and salt. Mix well. Stir in by hand the nuts and choc. chips. drop onto cookie sheet. Bake: 350 for 10 minutes.
