1 1/4 c. flour
2 lbs. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 egg (beaten)
oil
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients. Add combined milk and egg. Mix until smooth. Holding finger over opening, fill 3/8 to 1/2 inch funnel with 1/4 c. batter. Place funnel near oil remove finger and pour batter into 1 inch of hot oil using circular motion to form 4 inch spiral. Fry until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm.

Jelly can also be added. I found by putting 1 tsp vanilla flavoring in the batter it was better.
