1 large onion, chopped
2 lbs. ground beef
1 t. salt
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 T. vinegar
2 T. chili powder
1 (11 oz.) pkg. corn chips
1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 c. sour cream
2 c. chopped lettuce
green peppers

Saute onion and beef; add rest of ingredients, except corn chips and cheese. Butter a 4-quart casserole or Dutch oven. Cover bottom with corn chips. Add meat, cheese and chips in layers. Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
Serve with any toppings you like.
Serves 10 (half recipe serves 5 ).
