1 cup butter (2 sticks)
½ tsp. salt
1 can Applesauce (15 oz.)
¾ cup sugar
Grated rind of one lemon
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 egg yolks
3 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix softened butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, salt, and grated rind of lemon. Fold in flour. Divide into halves. Press ½ onto bottom of greased 13x9 baking dish. Mix cinnamon with applesauce and spread over dough in pan. Crumble other half of dough over applesauce. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 325º. Cool. Cut in squares.
