6 to 8 sliced of bacon
1/2 cup onion (more if you like--we did)
splash of vinegar
2 cans green beans or fresh green beans cooked until tender
salt

Brown bacon and onions until onions clear and bacon limp. Add beans and vinegar. Season and warm together. (May need to drain off some bacon grease before adding the beans)

20 to 25 minutes after bacon is sliced.

The smell of the bacon and onions sautéing together is wonderful. This recipe has been handed down from the Ries family and is a favorite when ever it is served.
