COOKIES :
* 1 1/2 cups sugar
* 1 cup crisco
* 2 eggs
* 1 tsp. vanilla
* 1 cup milk/gradually
* 3 3/4 cups flour
* 2 tsp. baking powder
* 1 tsp. baking soda
* 1/2 tsp. salt

FROSTING :
* 8 ounces softened cream cheese
* 2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
* 1 1/2 tsp. pure almond extract
* A little milk

*Heat oven to 375.
*Spray 2 cookie sheets & set aside.
*Cream together first 5 ingredients.
*Add the rest of the ingredients.
*Drop onto prepared cookie sheets.
*Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
**WHILE BAKING**
*Combine cream cheese ,sugar & extract & beat with electric mixer , gradually adding a little milk.
This can be a tricky frosting & gets thin quickly while you're making it , so add the milk ONLY after it's been well blended & possibly needed.
Decorate these cookies with seasonal sprinkles , chopped nuts , coconut , whatever you like.
