1 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
2 8 oz czns of tomato sauce
1 12 oz can whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 cup pitted ripe olives, chopped1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon sugar
2 to 3 tsp chili powder
Dash of pepper
TOPPING
6 ounces sharp american cheese, shredded
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups cold water
1 tbsp butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Cook meat and onion in a large skillet until meat is lightly browned and onions are tender. Stir in tomato, corn, olives, garlic, sugar and 1 tsp salt, and chili powder. Simmer 20 to 25 minutes until thick. Add cheese, stir until melted. Turn into greased 9x9x2 inch baking dish.
Stir cornmeal and 1/2 tsp salt into the cold water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick. Add butter or margarine and mix well. Spoon over meat mixture and cook at 375º for 40 minutes.
