2 c milk
1/3 c flour
1/2 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 c grated coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and set aside. Mix flour, sugar and salt. Combine with hot milk & cook in a double boiler for 20 mins, stirring until thick. Add hot mixture to slightly beaten egg yolks. Return to double boiler and cook for 5 mins., stirring to prevent lumps. Add vanilla and part of cocnut. Pour into baked pastry shell and cover with meringue made of the 2 egg whites and sprinkle with remaining cocnut. Bake at 350 F until meringue browns.
