For the Bars:
2 sticks butter
2 cup sugar
2 medium to large bananas
2 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cream Cheese Icing:
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups powdered sugar

For the Bars:
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together. Add bananas and beat well. Add buttermilk, flour, salt, and baking soda. Add vanilla and mix well. Spread in a large jellyroll pan. Bake at 350º for 18-20 minutes. Frost with cream cheese icing. Can sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped pecans, if desired. Cool before frosting.

For the Icing:
Blend cream cheese and butter together well. Add vanilla extract. Add one cup of powdered sugar at a time and beat well. Continue adding powdered sugar and beat well after each addition.
