1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 can pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. each cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice (or to taste)
1 c. chocolate chips (or raisins if preferred)
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350º
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in pumpkin, egg, and vanilla. Stir together all dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in chips, raisins or nuts. Drop rounded spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 min.
