1 cup butter or margarine
2 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
4 eggs
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. In large bowl microwave butter until melted. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well with spoon. Add cocoa; beat until well blended. Add flour, baking powder and salt; beat well. Stir in nuts, if desired. Pour batter into greased 13x9x2" pan. Bake 30-35 min. or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
