* 3 TBSP. butter
* 1 finely chopped medium sweet onion
* 2 finely chopped shallots
* 4 TBSP. flour
* 1 TBSP. each parsley & dill
* 1 1/2 cups each half & half & heavy cream
* 1 cup chicken broth
* 12 ounces each whole lump crabmeat,drained
& imitation crabmeat/chopped
* salt & pepper to taste

*Get out that favorite soup pot again.
*Melt the butter over low heat.Cook the onion & shallot "til tender,about 10 minutes.
*Stir in the flour,dill & parsley. Cook,stirring constantly,until mixture is bubbly;remove from the heat.
*Stir in the half & half,cream & broth.
*Heat to boiling,stirring constantly.
*Stir in the crab,heat to boiling,reduce the heat.
*Cook 3 to 5 more minutes stirring constantly.
Salt & pepper to taste.

Give it a little kick with a dash of worchestershire sauce.
Make this bisque a chowder by adding diced,cooked potatoes & white corn.
