"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway
This recipe for Bread Machine Cinnamon Raisin Bread, by Paula Breid, is from Breid Family Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
For a 1 1/2 lb loaf: 1 1/4 c + 1 tbsp warm water 2 tbsp butter 3 1/2 c bread flour 2 tbsp dry milk 2 tbsp sugar 1 1/2 tsp salt 2 tsp ground cinnamon 2 tsp active dry yeast OR 3/4 c raisins 1 1/2 tsp bread machine yeast 1/2 c chopped nuts
Combine ingredients according to your bread machine instructions. For example: my machine says to put water and butter in first, then dry ingredients, making a ' well ' to put the yeast in, and then the raisins and nuts on the top. Select setting for a 1 1/2 lb loaf.
Can be put on time delay setting so you can wake up to the aroma of fresh cinnamon bread. MMMMM!
