2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup crushed pineapple, well drained (reserve juice)
1 egg, beaten
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour once, measure and sift with other dry ingredients. Cream butter, adding sugar gradually. Add beaten egg and pineapple. Then add, dry ingredients, nuts and vanilla. Drop by teaspoonsful on to a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350ºF for 10 minutes, or until done. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.

In a small bowl combine 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar with enough of the reserved pineapple juice to achieve a nice spreading consistency. Frost cooled cookies.
