1 pint blueberries, washed & drained well
2 sticks butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt


Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325.
Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. Dredge berries with ¼ cup of flour and set aside.

Use mixer to cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time. Beat well after each egg is added.

Add vanilla and beat until fluffy.

Sift remaining flour (2 ¾ cup) with baking powder and salt; fold into cake batter until well blended.

Gently stir in berries.

Bake for approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until cake tests done with a cake tester.

Place pan on rack and cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing from pan.


Note: Well-drained frozen or canned berries can be used.
