1 c. shortening (or lard or butter)
3 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
pinch of salt
1 tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, salt, sugar, and flour together, cutting with knives or pastry blender until it resembles coarse cornmeal. Add milk. Mix quickly. Roll dough on floured surface. To diameter needed to fit pie pan ( DON'T WORRY IT TO DEATH!!!) Flute pie shell edges if using for single crust. Fill with favorite filling. Roll out further dough on floured surface for top crust if needed. Flute/crimp edges. Brush top crust lightly with milk and sprinkle top crust lightly with sugar. Bake at 350 on lower oven rack to brown bottom crust better. Follow baking time as indicated from filling recipe you are making.
