1 c Unsalted Butter, Softened
1 1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 1/2 c All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
2 c Old-Fashioned Oats
1 c Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, cream butter, gradually adding sugars, eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until uniformly blended. Stir in oats and raisins. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350º F. Grease baking sheets or line with parchment paper.

Roll dough into 2 inch diameter balls and lay them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving plenty of room for them to spread.

Bake for about 22 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool cookies on baking sheets for 1-2 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool.

You can substitute raisins with chocolate chips
if you want to add soe spice add 1/2 tsp each of ground cinnamon, allspice and ground cloves.
