Notes: I remember the first time Mom made this. We took it to our family reunion and Mom set it on the food line with everything else. No one took any. Finally Mom picked up the trowel and started scooping, there was an chorus of exclamations! No one had realized it was food. They all assumed it was just a pretty centerpiece for the table. Mom kept a dedicated pot, flowers, and trowel for this dessert. I now too have a pot, flowers, ad trowel. This is a delicious dessert on it's own merits, but the element of surprise makes it so much more fun than all the others!
