1/2 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup Milk
1 Tbsp Vanilla
2 Cups Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Soda
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt

Directions:
Beat shorteneing, PB, and sugars. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Sift togethher dry ingredients. Combine. Scoop 2 Tbsp dough onto cookies sheet. Bake 375º 10-15 minutes.

Grandma Kleinknight's kitchen seemed huge to me as a child. We spent hours around the table eating, playing games, celebrating, and just visiting. Grandpa's rocker was next to the wood burning stove. He kept a dish of horehound candies nearby. My mom & her brother grew up taking their baths in a tub in that kitchen. I always loved to explore the contents of the Hoosier cabinet, all the spices, extracts, and the flour bin. Grandma made the best stuff in that kitchen!
