3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
3 tablespoons sour milk
2/3 cup mashed banana, usually 2
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup broken nut meats

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar & shortening, then beat in the egg. Stir in the sour milk & banana. Then stir in the dry ingredients, which have been sifted together. Add the nutmeats. Turn into a well greased pan. Let stand 20 minutes before baking. Bake about 1 hour in a moderate oven (350).
