1C butter (softened)
1C granulated sugar
1 egg
1 C egg nog
3 1/4 C all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Icing:
1 1/2 C powdered sugar
3T egg nog
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Preheat oven ato 350º

Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth
Stir in the egg and egg nog
In a second bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt
Stir the dry ingredients into the sugar mixture, until smooth
Drop rounded spoonfuls onto the cookie sheet
Bake for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown
Allow cookies to cool completely

To prepare icing:
Put the powdered sugar and nutmeg into a small bowl
Stir in egg nog, one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency
Spread onto cooled cookies
Decorate with sprinkles or colored sugar, if desired

Aside from the icing, the cookie is not super sweet.
