2 lb. round steak or any cheap cut of beef roast, cut into ½ inch strips

salt and pepper

½ onion chopped

1 can condensed mushroom soup

8 oz fresh mushrooms

1 tablespoon dried chives

2 cloves minced garlic

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup beef bouillon cube

½ cup red wine (save ¼ cup to mix with flour)

1 tablespoon all purpose flour

½ envelope dried onion soup

sour cream to taste (about ¾ cup)

Directions:
Place beef in bottom of crock pot and salt and pepper. Place onions on top and add can of mushroom soup, mushrooms, chives, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and bouillon.

In a small bowl mix together the ¼ cup wine and flour. Pour over beef.

Top with ½ envelope dried onion soup.

Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours

Stir in sour cream and continue cooking for additional hour.

Serve over butter wide noodles.
