1 lb bay scallops or sea scallops, quartered.
2 Tbsp dry white wine or sherry
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
¼ tsp salt
⅛ to ¼ tsp white pepper
¼ cup half and half
½ cup plain bread crumbs
2 Tbsp melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Mix wine, lemon juice, salt and pepper in shallow baking dish. Stir in scallops. Add half and half and stir. Mix bread crumbs with melted butter in small bowl. Sprinkle scallops with bread crumb mixture. Bake until scallops are done, mixture is bubbly and crumbs are browned (approximately 15 minutes), Serve with steamed asparagus and a crusty bread.
