3 ripe bananas mashed
⅓ cup melted butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
a pinch salt
¾ cup sugar
1 large egg beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
Mix in the baking soda and salt.
Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.
Gradually mix in the flour until just incorporated.
Fold in the chopped nuts and ground cinnamon if desired.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
