6 c (2 lbs) peeled, sliced apples
1 c sugar
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1-2 tbsp butter
Double pie crust (see pie crust recipe)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl. Stir mixture with apples to coat fruit. Put into bottom crust and dot with butter. Add top crust; flute edges and slit crust.

Bake at 375 for 45-50 mins. Can also be served hot with vanilla ice cream.
