3 T butter
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1 T Milk
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 c Flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/8 t salt
Walnut halves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream Butter & sugar. Add egg and then milk then vanilla. Sift flour twice. Add baking powder & salt and beat with other ingredients. Chill dough. Then roll out on a board, thin. Cut with cookie cutter. Garnish with a walnut half. Bake 15 minutes in moderate oven. ( I baked them at 350º for 10 minutes)

These are plain cookies that go well with a cup of Chai tea. I used one of grandma's cookie cutters shaped in a diamond. They looked very nice.
