Ingredients:  
2 1/2 lbs. sugar
1 pint vinegar
1 qt. water
Few cinnamon sticks — remove after heating
Few cloves — remove after heating
Red food coloring
Eggs – hardboiled (approx. 4 doz.)
Red beets (2 or more cans) — drain juice off beets – do not use beet juice

Heat mixture (sugar, vinegar, water, cinnamon sticks, gloves) for a while on low heat – take off heat and add red food coloring.

Then add hardboiled eggs (approx. 4 doz.) and 2 or more cans red beets.
Put in refrig. approx. 12–24 hrs.

SMALLER AMOUNT OF JUICE:
1 c. vinegar
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water
Cinnamon sticks and cloves
Red food coloring
Hardboiled eggs (approx. 2 doz.)
Canned red beets (1–2 cans)
