Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 box of Devil's Food Cake cake mix
3 eggs
½ cup of vegetable oil
1 cup water
8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
½ powdered sugar
8 oz whipped topping (thawed)
12 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped

Chocolate frosting*

*homemade is great, but store bought is fine if you want to be quick about it!
Directions:
Directions:
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350º

Step 2:
Prepare cake mix with the oil, water, and eggs. Bake in two 9-inch cake pans that have been sprayed with baking spray.

Step 3:
While the cake is baking, cream the sugar and softened cream cheese together until fluffy. Fold in the cool whip and crushed Oreos with a rubber spatula. Set mixture aside.

Step 4:
After cakes have cooled COMPLETELY, assemble the cake:

Step 5:
Place one cake, top side down, on a plate. Spread the cream cheese "middle" on top.

Step 6:
Add the second cake (note: feel free to level your cake by evenly cutting the hump). Gently press the top cake, completing you "sandwich". With any leftover cream cheese mixture, fill in any middle gaps to help your cake look like a big Oreo!

Step 7:
Finally, top your cake with your chocolate frosting. No need to add frosting to the sides. Cut and enjoy!

Personal Notes:
The cake came into creation after Keke and I discovered a similar cake at Strack & Van Til's grocery store while still in Indiana. We couldn't get enough of it! This dupe might actually be better though :)
