1 cup crisco
1½ cups brown sugar
1 large egg
3 Tbs molasses
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
½ tsp cloves
½ tsp ginger
2½ cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients 3 times. Cream well shortening and brown sugar. Add sifted dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Chill for 1 hour. Heat oven to 350° form dough into balls, roll in sugar and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for around 10 minutes.
