Gefilte Fish Calculations

20 lbs. = 60 Balls 15 lbs. = 45 Balls

22 lbs. x 3= 66 Balls 26 lbs. x 3 = 78- 80 Balls

Remember to ask for Roe (fish eggs).and the heads and bone pieces for the fish stock.

Only use a large deep enamel pot with a cover to cook the gefilte fish.
Have the matzo meal and kosher salt plus a little extra in small juice glasses and sprinkle into the mixture as directed.

NOTE: After making the gefilte fish, to clean the wooden bowl and chopper use hot water and a steel wool pad to scour bowl and chopper. Never use soap on a seasoned wooden bowl.

To chop fish, in a wooden bowl with wooden handled chopper tool
