1 can slice mushrooms
1 medium onion sliced
1/2 c butter
1/4 c flour
2 c milk
1 c light cream
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3/4 lb sharp cheddar cheese grated
1/8 tsp hot pepper sauce
2 tsp soy sauce
2 pkg frozen french green beans
1-5 oz water chestnuts drained/sliced
1/2 c sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté the mushrooms and onion in butter. Add the flour and cook until smooth. Put in double boiler. Add milk and cream. Stir in double boiler over boiling water until thickened. Add the cheese, hot pepper sauce, soy sauce, salt and pepper. Stir until cheese is melted. Cook green beans in salted water until tender. Drain. Mix green beans with mushrooms, water chestnuts and cheese sauce. Pour into casserole dish and sprinkle with almonds. Bake for 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
