7/8 cup sifted icing sugar
1 lb. butter, cut up
4 cups sifted flour and a pinch, 1/8 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Blend butter and sugar with a beater and then add flour a bit at a time while beating. knead the dough very well!
Roll out, cut and bake at 325° for 15 minutes.
Embellish with whatever goodies you like. I used craisins, chocolate chips and cherries.

I used my stand mixer to make the dough. I have also added white chocolate and craisins to my dough. The cookies were excellent.
